What does “Kamala” mean in Biblical Hebrew?

In my book (see, for example, on Amazon), I have related to several words/names in the Bible that, though not originating in biblical Hebrew, yet convey significance to world affairs, in general, or to the Jewish people, in particular, past and present. Two examples therein are Pharaoh and Chammas. In a podcast on this blog, we similarly related to Covid, and its similarity to the biblical Hebrew Kavod (find details in “Comments” of this post).

Here, we address another name, “Kamala”, and wonder what would that name mean were it a biblical Hebrew name.

The “Hebrew root” of the name is K.M.L (ק.מ.ל). This root gives rise to various Hebrew words meaning decay, wither, or the process of decline. In the bible, the word appears twice in the book of prophet Isaiah:

“…the reeds and rushes shall decay (Kamelu)”; Isaiah 19:6;

“…Lebanon is ashamed and withers (Kamal)…”; Isaiah 33:9.

Comment: Post is not intended to express author’s opinion, or attitude, vis-à-vis current candidate for USA president, carrying same name.

A few years back when the first election was in progress I noticed some interesting things at that time. One was the Biden promo was Biden spelled with a RED E. Any flags for anyone? He is definitely an Edomite who is depicted by red, then his running mate being Kamala Harris, now in Hebrew that can be spelled several ways but the way I saw it was what history tends to show well. I saw it spelled Quf, Mem, Lamed, Ayin amd then her last name Harris spelled Hey, Resh, Samech. Now is Kamala the name of Hebrew origin, no, but what is interesting is how Hebrew does play into all this just the same. We can do a couple things. We can do the Qamal with Ayin being separate and in gematria meaning 70 or as an eye. Now put that together and what do we come up with? Then it is common to take and interchange the first and last letters and what do we see? Ayin, Mem, Lamed, and Quf. Does this fit the picture of what is really happening?

Then we have Harris which is a married name but does it fit the one who is behind it? In Hebrew Harris means to: throw down, tear down, demolish, destroy, ruin, destruction, to destroy completely. What is her motto or the words she uses about being radical with America. I do not see things as coincidences, because HaShem is in control of everything and it is time for the final redemption. Oh that His people would return back to Him in full teshuvah so the judgment is sweetened. If your Jewish then by all means return back to the Land of Israel, if you are possibly an Israelite from the lost 10 tribes then we need to wait on HaShem to bring us back as He promised because that is the way I am understanding what Scripture is saying.

I could be wrong, but many of us are Noahides desiring to convert, yet due to circumstances that are not in our control, this isn’t an option at this time. How it will all play out we must trust in HaShem and Him alone because the governments of this world are NOT going to help you but actually try to eliminate you. All the governments of the world MUST collapse, Baruch HaShem! He is the King of kings of kings.

Tikvahshua, Incredible insights! Many in the US have already read my post. I hope future readers would also read your indepth analysis. I suppose we both convey messages that we ought to convey, or these insights would not reach us. Be blessed, Haim

The Quran, three pages in explains the dispute. Azezel. Why should I kneel to a human made of mud? Gabriel, asks Why do you not let me take care of the ingrate?
Our Creator, I know what you do not. We need only the faith our creator has in us.

Any god.. or goddess, other than the one true God of the Bible, originates from the rehlm of the demonic which is ruled by satan. Their are only 2 kingdoms.. good and evil and one ruler of each. GOD and satan. You will serve one or the other just as the angelic beings serve God and the fallen angels and or demons serve satan.. that’s it.

Thank you. There is only one kingdom, the Kingdom of God. God created evil (“Satan”) so that humankind can choose between good and evil, and by so doing allowing individual human beings develop and forming themselves. Prophet Isaiah states this explicitly and clearly (speaking for God): “I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil; I Jehovah am doing all these” (Isaiah 45:7).

The name “Kamala” comes from Sanskrit, not Hebrew. It means lotus.
It is used as a feminine given name in Indian culture, predominantly by Hindu families, as it is one of the names of the goddess Lakshmi, who appears from the centre of a lotus. It implies purity and enlightenment. NOT decay and wither. But of course this does not express my opinion either. Just FYI.

Thank you for the enlghtening comment. I emphasized in the post that the name had not originated in Hebrew, so how do you conclude otherwise?
